Graceful and powerful-looking as it is with its titanium frame and a ceramic back plate that is bound to be more durable than the aluminum and glass bodies we get on other handsets, Andy Rubin (co-founder of Android) has vowed to make this phone not have any of the features he does not like in today’s smartphones.
It was launched in May 2017 and is now up for pre-order in the US. It will be launched later this year in the UK and will cost you a handsome amount of $699. You can purchase it on Amazon and Sprint as well. It comes in stunning colors of ‘Black Moon’ and ‘Pure White’, with ‘Stellar Grey’ and ‘Ocean Depths’ shades launching soon.
The phone comes with dual 13-megapixel cameras and features pretty standard specs which includes a Snapdragon 835 CPU, 4GB of RAM, a USB-C port for charging and data transfer and a 3040 mAh battery. It has a 5.71-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1312 pixels by 2560 pixels and a fingerprint scanner at the back. There is not even an Essential logo at the back!

The phone also supports external add-ons through a connector at the back of the phone (a 360 camera mod has been announced by the team).
People are already calling this model an anti-iPhone which is obviously saying something! However, only time will reveal the essentiality of the Essential phone.
